22 December 1916 with 49th  Battalion,

8th  Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW on

Ship H.M.A.T. A64 "Demosthenes".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on 8 August 1918 while serving with 2nd  Machine Gun Battalion at Corbie, France at the age of 28 years.

Burial place: Crucifix Corner Cemetery,

Villers-Brettoneux, France, Portion X, Row C, Grave No. 6.
