Enlisted on 8 April 1916 at Mackay, QLD.

Address at Enlistment: Homebush, Mackay, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

7 September 1916 with 9th  Battalion,

20th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD on

Ship A46 "Clan McGillivray".

Cause of Death: Died of Wounds on

5 November 1917 while serving with 9th  Battalion in Belgium at the age of 23 years.

Burial place: No known grave.

Next of Kin:  Mother, Mrs. M. A. Baxter, Homebush, Mackay, QLD.

Religion: Church of England.

Notes: Brother of John William Baxter also died during the Great War.
