22 December 1916 with 26th  Battalion,

18th  Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW on

Ship A64 "Demosthenes".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

3 October 1918 while serving with 26th  Battalion at Gouy, near Mont St Quentin, France at the age of 32 years.

Burial place: Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guoy, France, Portion I, Row D, Grave No: 7.

Religion: Presbyterian.
