Ship H.M.A.T. A18 "Wiltshire".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on 6 April 1918 while serving with 41st  Battalion at Somme Sector, France at the age of 26 years.

Burial place: Villers-Brettoneux Military Cemetery, Fouilloy, France, Portion I, Row D, Grave No. 7.

Next of Kin:  Father, John Bell, York Street, Charters Towers, QLD.

Religion: Presbyterian.
