Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

24 May 1915 with 7th  Infantry Brigade,

7th  Field Ambulance, A Section at Brisbane, QLD on Ship H.M.A.T.  A11 "Ascanius".

Cause of Death: Died of Wounds on 12 May 1917 while serving with 11th  Battalion at Bullecourt, France at the age of 22 years.

Burial place: Grevillers British Cemetery, France, Portion II, Row E, Grave No. 12.

Next of Kin:  Frederick Wm. Boddington, postmaster, Mackay, QLD.

Religion: Church of England.
