Cause of Death: Died of Wounds on 18 October 1917 while serving with 52nd Battalion at Passchendaele, Belgium at the age of 32 years.

Burial place or Memorial: Divisional Collection Post Cemetery, Boesinghe, Belgium , Portion II, Row: H, Grave No: 22.
