Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

19 September 1916 with 49th  Battalion,

5th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD on Ship H.M.A.T. A49 "Seang Choon".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

12 October 1917 while serving with 49th  Battalion at Passchendaele, Belgium at the age of 37 years.

Burial place: No known grave.

Next of Kin:  Step-Mother, Mrs. William Boyle, Hope Street, Spring Hill, Brisbane, QLD.

Religion: Roman Catholic.
