16th  Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW, on Ship H.M.A.T. A16 " Star of Victoria".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

21 January 1917 while serving with 47th  Battalion in France at the age of 39 years.

Burial place: Bulls Road Cemetery, Flers, France, Portion J, Row A, Grave No. 32.

Next of Kin:  Sister, Miss R. Browne, Westbourne Street, Highgate Hill, South Brisbane, QLD.
