Enlisted on 19 August 1915

Address at Enlistment: 6th  Street, South Townsville, Queensland.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

21 October 1915 with 9th  Battalion,

11th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD on Ship H.M.A.T.  A48 "Seang Bee".

Cause of Death: Died of Illness on 7 March 1916 while serving with 49th  Battalion at Tel el Kibir, Egypt at the age of 32 years.

Burial place: Tel El Kibir War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt; Grave No 2.

Next of Kin:  Mother, Mrs. Watson, 6th Street, South Townsville, QLD.

Religion: Roman Catholic.
