5 June 1916 with 42nd  Battalion, A Company at Sydney, NSW on Ship H.M.A.T. A30 "Borda".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

11 February 1917 while serving with 42nd  Battalion in France at the age of 25 years.

Burial place: Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, France, Portion IV, Row E,

Grave No. 16.
