Occupation: Farmer.

 

Service and Enlistment Details

Enlisted on 18 September 1915 at Brisbane, QLD.

Address at Enlistment: Brisbane, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

28 March 1916 with 25th Battalion,

10th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD, on

Ship H.M.A.T. A73 "Commonwealth".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on 5 August 1916 while serving with 25th  Battalion at Pozieres, France at the age of 30 years.

Burial place: Serre Road Cemetery No. 2, France, Portion XXV, Row G, Grave No. 13.

Next of Kin:  Mother, Mrs. Emma Adeline Davies, "Glenira", Stuckey Road, Clayfield, Brisbane, QLD.

Religion: Methodist.

Notes:
Arthur Davies was killed during the attack on Pozieres at 12.15 am on the morning of 5 August 1916.
