Address at Enlistment: Care of St. Kilda, Mackay, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

3 January 1916 with 25th  Battalion,

8th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD on

Ship H.M.A.T. A55 "Kyarra".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on 5 August 1916 while serving with 25th  Battalion at Pozieres, France at the age of 31 years.

Burial place: Serre Road Cemetery No. 2, France, Portion XXX, Row: C, Grave No: 7.

Next of Kin:  Mother, Mrs. Lucy Dobson, 168 Ciemitire Street, Launceston, TAS.
