24 January 1917 with 52nd  Battalion,

9th  Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW on Ship H.M.A.T. A33 "Ayrshire".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

21 October 1917 while serving with 52nd  Battalion at Ypres, Belgium at the age of 23 years.

Burial place: Belgian Battery Corner Cemetery, Ieper, Belgium, Portion II, Row F, Grave No. 6.
