6 June 1916 with 44th  Battalion, D Company at Fremantle, WA on Ship H.M.A.T. A29 "Suevic".

Cause of Death: Died of Wounds on

14 March 1917 while serving with 44th  Battalion at Steenwerck, France at the age of 30 years.

Burial place: Trois-Arbes Cemetery, France, Portion I, Row G, Grave No. 9.
