Occupation: Bank Clerk.

 

Service and Enlistment Details

Enlisted on 1 May 1916 at Mackay, QLD.

Address at Enlistment: Sarina, Mackay, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

24 January 1917 with 4th Pioneer Battalion,

9th Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW on Ship H.M.A.T. A33 "Ayrshire".

Cause of Death: Died of Wounds on 29 July 1918 while serving with 5th Pioneer Battalion at Morlancourt, France at the age of 23 years.

Burial place or Memorial: Villers-Brettoneux Military Cemetery, Fouilloy, France, Portion III, Row B, Grave No. 6.

Next of Kin:  Father, Frederick Gregg Flower, Bangalow, NSW.

Religion: Church of England.

 

Notes:
Allan Flower's sister Vera Emily Flower served in North Africa and France as a nurse with the 2nd Australian General Hospital. His brother 357 Trooper James Herbert Flower, 7th Light Horse Regiment, died on 25 May 1915 of wounds received in action at Gallipoli.
