Mother: Anna Margaretha SCHNEIDER.

Education: National School.

Occupation: Farm Labourer.

 

Service and Enlistment Details

Enlisted on 9 January 1915 at Cairns, QLD.

Address at Enlistment: Homebush, Mackay, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

16 April 1915 with 9th  Battalion,

5th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD on

Ship H.M.A.T. A55 "Kyarra".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on 28 June 1915 while serving with 9th  Battalion at Quinns Post, Gallipoli at the age of 21 years.

Burial place: Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey, Portion I, Row D, Grave No. 17.
