16th  Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW on

Ship H.M.A.T. A16 " Star of Victoria".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

5 September 1916 while serving with 49th  Battalion at Mouquet Farm, France at the age of 23 years.

Burial place: Courcelette British Cemetery, France, Portion VIII, Row G, Grave No. 1.

Next of Kin:  Mother, Mrs. H. Freeman, 5 York Mansion, South Hampton, London, England.
