Enlisted on 21 December 1915 at Rockhampton, QLD.

Address at Enlistment: Tannalo, Mackay, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

31 March 1916 with 9th  Battalion,

16th  Reinforcements at Sydney, NSW on

Ship H.M.A.T. A16 " Star of Victoria".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on 7 June 1917 while serving with 49th Battalion at Messines, Belgium at the age of 27 years.

Burial place: No known grave.

Next of Kin:  Mother, Mrs. F. Freeman, 18 Arica Road, Brockley, London, England.

Religion: Methodist.
