Enlisted on 27 March 1916 at Maryborough, QLD.

Address at Enlistment: Mungar, QLD.

Embarkation Details: Embarked Overseas on

7 September 1916 with 15th  Battalion,

20th  Reinforcements at Brisbane, QLD on Ship H.M.A.T. A46 "Clan McGillivray".

Cause of Death: Killed in Action on

13 August 1918 while serving with 15th  Battalion in France at the age of 32 years.

Burial place: Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France, Portion IV, Row C, Grave No. 1.

Next of Kin:  Sister, Mrs. D. Vines, Habana, Mackay, QLD.

Religion: Church of England.
