I grew up on a sugar cane farm in the Pioneer Valley, only a few kilometres away from the small town of Finch Hatton, and went to high school at Mirani, near the location of the Rawson property Sleepy Hollow. I had never heard of the book Advance Australia! while growing up. I found out about it by chance in the mid-1990s, and eventually got hold of a copy. I liked it so much that I thought it deserved to be better known, so I decided to put some of it on the web. I hope you enjoy it.
